CHI SIAMO

ABOUT US

Just 10 minutes from San Daniele and 200 meters from the Salzburg-Grado cycle path, the Vie en Rose B&B is a place of peace surrounded by a 7000sqm garden.

The rooms are bright and colorful, all equipped with a balcony, and equipped with a kettle and herbal teas that you can enjoy at any time of the day.

The bathrooms, on the other hand, are external and adjacent to the rooms, but always private.

In summer, breakfast will be served in the garden, in the shade of the large trees, with genuine homemade products. During the winter months, however, and when it rains, will be made available two indoor rooms.

La Vie en Rose means "life in pink", which, in addition to being the predominant color in furniture and accessories, represents a bit our way of conceiving life .... carefree ...

Come and visit us, you will be welcomed with kindness and courtesy, and we will do our best to make you feel at home.

Claudio & Ilaria

LOVELY BREAKFAST

Our breakfasts is genuine and rich in made products. The jams are made with the fruit of our trees: blackberry and lavender, emoli and ginger, elderflower, basil and lemon, apple with sage and rosemary, figs and lemon, elderberry, and more.

You can also enjoy various types of homemade cakes and pies (including gluten-free) with eggs from our hens, and there will be juices, yogurt, bread, fruit, cereals, coffee, herbal teas, and cappuccino like at the bar.

Savory dishes such as cheese, ham, sausages and fresh eggs will also be served upon request.

RESPONSIBLE TOURISM

The house was designed and built in the 80s on ecological principles, observable in the orientation, in the organization of the spaces and in the steep slope of the roof that houses the solar and photovoltaic panels.

During the summer and on sunny days, the panels provide hot water and electricity, in the winter the pellet boiler heats the water in the sanitary fixtures and radiators.

For the cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms we try to use environmentally friendly detergents and we recycle as much water as possible to wet plants and flowers.

We make jams with the fruit of our trees, which grow without the use of pesticides, and we make sweets with the eggs of our hens.

By staying with us, you too can contribute to protecting the environment with some small precautions, for example by keeping towels for the duration of your stay and turning off the air conditioning before leaving.

AROUND

San Daniele

Perched on a hill, San Daniele is the main center of the Friuli Hills: from here you can enjoy infinite views over gentle expanses of hills.
The town is considered one of the pearls of Friuli, known internationally for the production of smoked trout and above all of a ham with an inimitable flavor.

San Daniele houses one of the most prestigious libraries in Italy: the Guarneriana Library, which preserves precious illuminated manuscripts.

Butterfly House

The largest complex of tropical greenhouses in Italy is located in Bordano.

It is the largest exhibition of live butterflies and insects in Italy, with 1,000 square meters of heated greenhouses and as many of exhibitions and workshops.

More than 400 species of butterflies from all over the world are housed in the 3 large greenhouses that reproduce their natural habitats, with exotic plants and animals: tropical Africa, the Asian rainforests and the Amazon River basin.

Venzone

Venzone is an ancient town destroyed by the earthquake of '76 and rebuilt as it was in the Middle Ages. Declared a national monument and elected "Borgo dei Borghi 2017", Venzone is one of the most extraordinary examples of restoration in the architectural and artistic fields .

To see: the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea and the mysterious and ancient Chapel of San Michele, home to the historic mummies, and finally the Town Hall, a splendid example of a Gothic-Venetian palace.

Cavazzo lake

The largest of the Friulian natural lakes (it is 6500 meters long) bathes the territory of three municipalities with its waters and is fed both artificially and by natural underground springs. Rich is the fish fauna, as well as the flora and the avifauna.

Ancient legends tell that the lake was formed with the tears of the sky fell in the form of rain.

Gemona del Friuli

Symbol of the Friulian character, tenacious and hardworking, Gemona, nestled on the slopes of the Julian Pre-Alps, is one of the most beautiful historical locations in Friuli Venezia Giulia and in its historic center of medieval origin it holds precious treasures.

The town, known throughout the world as the capital of the earthquake that shook Friuli in 1976, houses in its ancient heart the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its Romanesque-Gothic architecture, the Sanctuary of Sant'Antonio and the Palazzo Elti, seat of the Civic Museum.

Tarvisio

Embraced by the Julian Alps and its millenary forest, which with 24,000 hectares is the largest state-owned forest in Italy, Tarvisio is the meeting point of Italy, Slovenia and Austria.

There are 24 km of skiable areas, including the one that descends from Mount Lussari with a breathtaking view and also open at night.
You can also make excursions with snowshoes, ice climbing, carriage rides or simple walks to the Fusine lakes.
